SQL Problem Statement:

Query the average population of all cities in CITY where District is California.



Input Format:

The CITY table is described as follows:

CITY Columns




Solution: Using AVG Function (MySQL Query):

SELECT AVG(POPULATION)
FROM CITY
WHERE DISTRICT = 'California';

NOTE: 
  1. AVG is an aggregation function used to calculate the average of the values of all the records in the specified column name passed to the function.




Sample Output:

113000.6667
